Amazon announced that Kindle for the Web will expand to enable anyone with access to a web browser to buy and read full Kindle books – no download or installation required.

Here are some of its easy to use features:

  • Read the full text of Kindle books in your web browser.  No download or installation required.
  • Synchronize your library, last page read, bookmarks, notes, and highlights with Kindle and Kindle-compatible devices including PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, and Android phones.

No mention on what date it will be available.  What are your opinions on this new addition to Kindle?

Amazon today introduced the beta version of “Kindle for the Web”, which enables people to read and share digital book samples in their browsers without the need to install or download anything.

Customers can change the font size and line spacing, adjust the background color, and share their favorite books with friends and family via Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail. There’s also a way to embed free chapters on your own site if you fancy.
